My story

I’m Tim.
This is personal.

I grew up in South Central California, where my experience of religion was shaped by abuse. What I knew of God was tangled up with fear, control, and the pressure to measure up.

Later, I fell into addiction. But in 2022, I had a radical encounter with Jesus that changed the direction of my life. Faith came alive. Jesus became personal to me, and that encounter began reshaping how I understood Him and what it meant to follow Him.

The Obsession comes from that place. My heart is to see people encounter the real Jesus—the Jesus revealed in Scripture—beyond the distorted picture that abusive religion can leave behind. I want to help people break those chains and discover a life of freedom, love, and passion for Him.

I’m a husband to Jeannie and a dad to three children: Dawn, Jase, and Ella. Following Jesus matters to me in our home and in the ordinary moments of life, as much as it does in extraordinary encounters.

This ministry is an invitation to explore that life together. Honest stories. Real conversations. A growing passion for Jesus.
